Support our ongoing fight for full equality and we’ll send you our 2021 Pride Month sticker pack. And as always, follow CDC guidelines regarding mask wearing and social distancing.Īfter two years, Pride is finally back! And we can’t wait to dance, celebrate, create, and fight for the LGBTQIA+ community. We recommend you don’t attend any in-person events if you’re not vaccinated against COVID-19. Some events are fun for the whole family, while others are more adult-oriented. To help you celebrate Pride with your friends, family, and loved ones, we put together a list of Pride events throughout June taking place across Texas. Pride month gives us an occasion to celebrate that progress and work to build a better future for LGBTQIA+ Texans.

But there’s a lot to be hopeful for too - in Texas, advocates defeated every single anti-trans bill filed in the 2021 session. Across the nation, state legislators are filing bills that attack trans youth in sports and trans healthcare. The last year has been tough in the fight for LGBTQIA+ rights, especially for trans youth. But that didn’t stop us from coming together to support the LGBTQIA+ community, even behind our computer screens. In 2020, Pride went virtual for the first time as the COVID pandemic forced us to stay inside to keep eachother safe. Happy Pride Month, Texans! It’s been two years since we got together in-person to celebrate Pride and the LGBTQIA+ community, and with vaccination rates rising, Texans are ready to get back to the parades.Įach year, we celebrate Pride Month in June to commemorate the anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, the catalyst of the modern LGBTQIA+ rights movement.
